Walking and hiking
for walkers
Le Pradet offers a friendly setting and the Var remains one of France’s most wooded departments. From cycle paths to footpaths, come and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of our region.
Hiking and thecustoms trail
Just 1 kilometer from our 4-star campsite in the Var, you can follow the customs trail. From Six-Fours to Giens, 52 kilometers are accessible on foot. Now a charming promenade typical of the Var region, this coastal path owes its name to its former vocation: to keep an eye on the coast and smugglers. The TPM region has published a guide, available for consultation on request from reception.
The Jean-François Joubé discovery trail, 3 kilometers from the campsite, offers a pleasant walk for young and old alike, and a magnificent view of our beautiful Mediterranean in the heart of the Var. A word of advice: avoid strollers, as the path is paved and stony in places.
The Gavaresse trail offers splendid panoramic views of the Toulon roadstead, the Coudon, Giens and theHyèresislands…you’ll also have the opportunity to admire the Fortin de la Gavaresse, a 19th-century fort owned by the French Navy.
There are many other walks available from the campsite, in Giens, Hyères, Toulon and the surrounding area, so get out your sneakers!
Cycle paths
Cyclists, rollerbladers and runners: just 1 kilometer from the campsite, you’ll find a lovely greenway leading to Toulon and Giens. This route, which used to be a railway line, is dotted with old stations where trains used to stop. The 17-kilometre stretch is part of a 54-kilometre cycle route.
