Coming to the south in July?

July at the campsite,is great!
There’s a lot of talk about the month of August for vacations in the South, but it’s all too easy to forget that July has a lot to offer.
First asset: the weather! In 2018, July was sunny 97% of the time… the remaining 3% was dark, no doubt (little joke ;-). The average temperature was 28°, not bad for enjoying the sea or the pool with the kids. What’s more, at the campsite, we don’t suffer much from the heat, as we’re well shaded by pine and eucalyptus trees, which is really nice.
Second advantage: the days are long. When you’re on vacation, that counts. The sun rises in early July at around 6.25am and sets at 9.20pm (we’re being precise), so you can take advantage of long days to go for a walk in Porquerolles or sunbathe on the beach, have an ice cream in Hyères harbour, visit the Sanary night market and eat without worrying about the time. The sun is good for your health, your morale and it’s scientifically proven: a British study published in January 2014 in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology claims that the equivalent of 30 minutes’ exposure to the sun’s rays is good for the heart. It could help reduce cardiovascular disease by lowering blood pressure. So don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor about it, since we’re telling you that vacations in the sun are good for you (although we’d recommend vegetable aperitifs if you don’t want to spoil the benefits of all that sunshine).
Third advantage: we wait less. Yes! Fewer people take their vacations in July, but you avoid a lot of inconveniences by moving to July: there are fewer people on the beaches (so you’re less likely to find yourself buried under your neighbor Kevin’s sandcastle). You’ll have less trouble driving to Le Lavandou or Saint Tropez (via the corniche, which is superb) or parking your car to go to the market. Last but not least, you’re much more likely to be able to do your activities without having to plan too much in advance: just give us a call and we’ll have a lot more slots available.
Another highlight: there’s a lot going on in July too. Concerts, fireworks, night markets, festivals… there’s plenty to enjoy on your vacation in the Var.
Advantage number 5: the team is fresh! We’ve got a smile on our faces and we’re so happy to be in summer, with you, we’ve still got our feet under us and the entertainment team still has its sweet little voice during the welcome drinks, they’re brand new and haven’t yet got their “Barry White” voice post karaoke and miss camping. Our thoughts are with Aurore, our entertainment manager. Everyone is working hard to make sure you have a great vacation with us.
Last but not least, the month of July is affordable. Coming to a campsite in July means taking advantage of lower rates while enjoying all the benefits of summer. For example, from 4 to 11/07, you can enjoy a stay in Porquerolles with air conditioning and TV, i.e. 2 bedrooms with a convertible in the living room, from 810€. When you come at the start of the summer vacations, you’re guaranteed to spend less, and therefore be able to treat yourself more: take advantage of the restaurants, do a little shopping (since you’ve saved for the vacations ;-)… in short, you’re taking steps to protect your purchasing power! The icing on the cake is that the cicadas take up their post at the end of June, so you can also enjoy a free concert before the others.
